Logo Usage Guidelines

The Children’s Trust Fund Alliance serves as a bridge for connecting our members – state children’s trust funds – with other organizations and our partners who are working toward positive changes in systems, policies and practices to promote the well-being of children, families and communities.

The Children’s Trust Fund Alliance logo is considered a logotype and consists of our name and a trademark symbol. To highlight the unique national network that we support, the words children’s trust fund are capitalized and in purple. The letter “A” bridge symbolizes that the Alliance is what connects our national network and serves as a passage for ideas, policies and practices. The “A” bridge icon is combined with a typographic letter form of the word “Alliance” to create a single, unified trademark image.

The Alliance Logo TrademarkThe Children’s Trust Fund Alliance logo is a trademark and must always appear with the trademark symbol (TM). The trademark official placement is above the lowercase “e” in the wordmark “Alliance”. This is the standard placement. The color of the TM should always be in the blue color of the “Alliance” wordmark and cannot be moved.

Consistent presentation

Consistent use and application of the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance logo is critical and helps to promote recognition of our visual brand. Here are some basic guidelines for usage:

  • Use only the official Children’s Trust Fund Alliance logo, color palette and standards listed in The Alliance Brand Guidelines.
  • It is important to maintain the integrity of the logo at all times. All logo file formats including sub-brands and co-brands cannot be altered.
  • Scale the logo as a unit to retain the original proportions of the logo and its elements.
  • The logo must be used with the required clear space.
  • Never combine the logo with any other text or imagery.
  • The logo may not be altered in any way. Never alter the proportion of the letter “A” to the typographic form of the word “Alliance.”
  • Never alter or change the logo color palette.
  • The logo may only be knocked out in white on dark colors.

Sizing the logo

The logo should always be sized for clear legibility with the minimum amount of clearance around it. For ideal legibility, the minimum width of the logo should be at least 1.25 inches wide. Our logo should never be smaller than 100px in digital or 1 inch in print.

Clear space

The Alliance Logo Purple SpaceOur logo should always have space to breathe. We call the space around our logo the purple zone. For the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance logo, the minimum amount of white space should be equal to or greater than the height of the all caps word “CHILDREN’S.” This area of isolation protects the logo from other imagery and graphics.
